DISCLOSURE 

I saw them 

down by the cove 

two young lovers strolling 

hand in hand 

towards the overgrown lane 

past that ancient graffiti 

as if the world  

had not changed 

as if such things  

as young lovers 

beelining down  

overgrown lanes 

past ancient graffiti 

were still proper 

still somehow regular 

in the new times 

under the new laws. 

I saw them and 

I regret to say 

I did not report them. 

I told no-one about them
