Have you been long here, at The Wake?

I came here just a little while ago, straight from The Funeral.

How long has The Wake been going on for?

Nearly as long as The Funeral.

I saw people dropping dead over there at The Funeral. 

I had to escape it.

They are dying here too at The Wake, boy.

Tell me, aside from ourselves, what kind of people 

come to The Wake?

Whoever makes it through The Funeral.

And who is The Wake for?

Whoever doesn’t make it through The Funeral.

The music is beautiful at the funeral, very affecting.

It is very affecting.

And this banquet. Fit for nobility.

It is too much, too costly.

The women look like they will never grow old.

They won’t. Nor the men neither.
